Lawyer Souqi Receives Protection Team of ICRC in the Capital, Aden
Lawyer Niran Souqi, member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Deputy Chairperson of the National Assembly, received today, Sunday, at the Assembly's headquarters, Ms. Valeria Gemilo, Deputy Protection Coordinator of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Yemen and responsible for Aden, in the presence of Mr. Levan Kacharava, former coordinator of the Committee's Protection Team International Red Cross.
The meeting discussed the humanitarian services and actions provided by the protection team of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the southern governorates, as well as the issue of prisoner exchange.
Lawyer Niran Souqi stressed the importance of facilitating the prisoner exchange process and finding ways to help them in order for the exchange to take place smoothly at the specified time and place.
She praised the role of the protection team at the International Red Cross in the capital, Aden, for its continuous interest in humanitarian issues.
