STC's EBLL in Socotra Organizes Workshop on Violence Against Women and Children

The Woman and Child Administration of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership (EBLL) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Socotra Governorate organized an awareness-raising workshop on violence against women and children under the patronage of Eng. Raafat Al-Thaqali, head of the EBLL of Socotra.

Lawyer Amira Ahmed Mohammed presented various axes, most notably the rights of women and children, the roots of violence, and early marriage, which may psychologically, morally, and personally affect both groups, in addition to depriving children of education and forcing them into labour market at an early age to support their families.

This workshop is part of the activities of the Woman and Child Administration to educate Socotri women against all kinds of societal and family violence.
