The Supreme Economic Committee (SEC) in the Southern Transitional Council (STC), on Monday, in the capital Aden, held its periodic meeting, chaired by Dr. Mohammed Ali Mattash, head of the SEC.
The meeting has reviewed several reports that have been prepared by certain committees under the supervision of the SEC, and its activity report, for the month of May 2022.
The meeting stood before a report on the high prices of fish and meat, in the local market, submitted by Commerce, Industry and Investmemt committee as well as topics and issues related to the economic situation, impacting factors on various aspects, and ways and means that are going to be performed to deal with such issues.
In the meeting, the SEC called on the power-sharing government to urgently implement economic reforms to revive the economic situation and alleviate the burdens on shoulders of citizens by expeditely finding solutions and provide service including electricity. The meeting also discussed the draft of law-project to set rules organizing the work of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressing a firm rejection of any documents that are deliberately attempting to obscure the cause of people of the South, and ill-represent the outcomes of Riyadh Consultations.
The SEC has ended the meeting by proposing several decisions and recommendations enhancing its practical activities, and also reviewed and approved the minutes of the previous meeting.
