Head of Negotiations Affairs Unit discusses with General Secretariat participation of STC in Riyadh consultations

The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, met on Tuesday, with the heads of the departments of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of STC.

The meeting discussed the participation of the Southern Transitional Council in the consultative meeting called for by the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, by the end of March.

The meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, stressed the importance of the participation of STC in the Riyadh consultations to show a strong representation and presence for the cause of the South, in line with the goals and aspirations of the southern people in restoring the southern state with its full sovereignty and in a manner that does not conflict with the Riyadh Agreement.

Dr. Al-Khubaji stressed the need for the departments of the General Secretariat to carry out their work and the responsibilities entrusted to them, and to activate the role of oversight and correction to ensure the quality of good administrative performance and its activation in all the various bodies of STC.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al-Khubaji stressed that the Southern Transitional Council, in its meetings with the UN envoy, stressed the need to develop a special framework to address the issue of the South within the negotiations of the comprehensive political process sponsored by the United Nations, and the importance of starting consultations without any preconditions, and the need to put in place serious and rapid solutions to get out of fabricated crises in the country that the citizens suffer from.
