The National Southern Media Authority stands before activities of its sectors and enhancing its role

The National Southern Media Authority, on Thursday, held its periodic meeting, chaired by Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), head of the National Media Authority.

In its meeting, the Authority discussed the arrangements for the conference of southern journalists and media members, and the tasks of the preparatory committee, and setting the date for the start of its work.

In its meeting, the Authority confirmed that the conference aims to mobilize southern journalists and media members to participate in building media institutions, restoring the glare of the southern press and media, and defending the issues of southern journalists and media members in light of the emptiness in media union and the process of cultural erosion that has accumulated in the South over the past decades.

The Authority reviewed the activities of the radio and television sector, the press and modern media sector, the Southern Armed Forces Media Center, and the media information department of the General Secretariat, stressing the need to activate all sectors and enhance their role in adopting the issues of our people and addressing systematic media campaigns targeting the South and its people and cause.
