Al-Kathiri meets members of National Assembly and Executive Body of Transitional Council in Hadhramout

The member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the National Southern Media Authority, Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, and in the presence of Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Saeed Al-Mohammadi, head of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Hadhramout, on Sunday, chaired an extended meeting included representatives of the National Assembly from Hadhramout, and the Executive Body of the Transitional Council in the governorate.

Al-Kathiri reviewed the political developments on the southern arena, and developments related to the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, providing a brief explanation of the discussions and deliberations that took place during the past two and a half months in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, with the aim of accelerating the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

Al-Kathiri listed the achievements of the delegation of the Transitional Council during that period, despite the intransigence and procrastination of parties in the legitimacy in implementing the terms of the agreement, referring to the change that occurred in the board of directors of the Central Bank, and the dismissal of the Brotherhood’s authority in Shabwa.

Al-Kathiri stressed that the Transitional Council strongly adopts the liberation of Hadhramout valley, and the change of governors and security directors in the rest of the governorates of the South, as in Aden the capital and Shabwa, explaining that the Riyadh agreement directed the power-sharing government to unite forces to confront the Houthi militia, and to address services and everything related to the lives of citizens.

Al-Kathiri expressed his regret that no progress was achieved in these three files, attributing the reason to the major defect in the system of presidency of legitimacy, which deliberately starves the people of the South and tortures them with the weapon of services, noting that the negotiating delegation raised this matter to the brothers in the Arab coalition and the ambassadors of the five countries, and he made it clear to them that the Transitional Council would not be silent for long over the war of services and salaries.

Al-Kathiri expressed his optimism that a breakthrough would happen soon, to which the brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council would attend, reiterating that the Transitional Council relies primarily on the unity of the southern ranks and their strong belief in the justice of its cause, and the readiness of its valiant armed forces.

Al-Kathiri pointed out that the Transitional Council formed a committee for the Southern National Dialogue, with the aim of strengthening southern cohesion, and agreeing on a vision for the features of a southern federal state, pointing out that the Transitional Council is currently preoccupied with the future, so it is open to all southern national forces, and called on everyone, without any exception, to sit together for a comprehensive vision.

The meeting was enriched with interventions and questions from the attendees from the members of the national assembly and the executive body of Transitional Council in Hadhramout .

The meeting was attended by Hassan Ali Basmir, head of Hadhramout bloc in the National Assembly, and Ali Saleh Al-Hamimy, deputy head of the Transitional Council's executive body in the governorate
