The Department of Woman and Child in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, organized a feminist political lecture entitled "January 13, the day that established the spirit of southern-southern tolerance and reconciliation" on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of reconciliation and tolerance under the auspices of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council.
At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Fadl Mohammed Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, delivered a speech in which he stressed the necessity of everyone to work for the unity of the Southerners, stressing the need to learn from the past stages that the South will only be with all and for all its people, stressing that the Transitional Council extends its hands to all southerners to build the southern homeland with the help of its sons.
Ms. Ishtiaq Mohammed Saad, Head of the Woman and Child Department in the General Secretariat, presented a speech in which she welcomed the attendees from the various governorates of the South, who show an honorable image that embodies the great status of their homeland through supporting and strengthening the southern unity.
Ibtisam Abdullah, Head of the Women's Development Section in the Department of Woman and Child, spoke about the importance of the Day of Southern Tolerance and Reconciliation, and the task that falls on southern women to implement in society.
The participants, who came from various segments of society and university coordinators in the capital, Aden, and the governorates of Abyan and Lahj, listened to a lecture delivered by the journalist writer Salah Al-Saqladi, about the important place that the Day of Tolerance and Reconciliation enjoys in the hearts of the people of the South, and the important and effective role of southern women in watering the seeds of this memory to reap its fruits by all the people of the southern homeland.
