The Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Ahmed Saeed Bin Brik, met on Tuesday in his office, the Council of Syndicates Committees in Aden Refineries Company.
The meeting discussed the general situation of the refinery through its formed syndicate, and the administrative corruption that has been rampant in its corridors since years ago, and has worsened further with the absence of the state’s role and prestige after the war of 2015.
Major General Bin Brik got fully briefed by the attendees on the problems and obstacles created by some individuals affiliated with the refinery and stand in the way of its work and the provision of its service to citizens, stressing their keenness to build and develop the refinery and upgrade its work in a manner befitting its position and leading role, noting that its proper operation will solve a lot of problems and crises that citizens suffer from at the present time.
For his part, Major General Ahmed Saeed stressed the need for the Syndicate to adopt improving the conditions of workers and defending their legitimate rights, as well as preserving the refinery as an important economic company that supplies the capital, Aden, in particular, and the South in general from its resources, noting the importance of rebuilding it in a scientific manner in the light of the mechanisms and systems that were established in light of it.
