Supreme Economic Committee holds extraordinary meeting and discusses economic issues on southern arena

The Supreme Economic Committee of the Southern Transitional Council, on Wednesday, held an extraordinary meeting, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, to discuss a number of economic issues on the southern arena.

In its meeting, the committee reviewed the latest developments related to the economic situation and its effects on the living conditions of citizens, as well as proposals and possible solutions to overcome them.

The committee discussed a report of its team, which was entrusted by the Committee with a field trip to the fishery market in Al-Mualla to organize the fish marketing process, and control prices and prevent illegal fishing.

The meeting touched on a number of high-priority files, including the deteriorating economic situation and the collapse of the local currency in the governorates of the South, which affects the general situation, and its resulting outcomes that are difficult to be predicted.

The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations, will be submitted to the political leadership, that are related to the economic and service file of the South for consideration.
