President of Al-Zubaidi chairs joint meeting of legal department in the Secretariat and Legal Committee of National Assembly
The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, on Wednesday, presided over a joint meeting with the Legal Department in the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council and the Legal Committee of the National Assembly of the Council.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi praised the legal department and the committee, for all their efforts during the past period and claimed to make further efforts to contribute to the legal aspect of the governorates of the South.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need to highlight the activity of all legal administrations, as well as concerted efforts and legal advice that helps the Council to overcome the challenges, to move forward towards the aspirations of the south of the restoration and building of its federal state with full sovereignty over its national borders before 21 May 1990.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need to undertake the education of southern society and trade unions, because of the legal aspects of the building and conservation of state institutions, as well as the importance of awareness of the concepts, principles and laws of trade union and its perpetrators of the capital Aden earlier, stressing the importance of working for legal texts included by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, as well as confirmed constitutions and legislation on the right to formation of trade unions, the practice of trade union and the conditions and procedures required to acquire legal status.
President Al-Zubaidi has noted the need to clarify the legal concepts of trade union work and its principles, and the measures to be met with the unionist members, specifically the newly ones in this area and their definitions and union laws, and trade union principles, stressing the need to activate and develop trade union work and legal action.
President Al-Zubaidi also confirmed that the Council feels the suffering of the people of the south, and their lives and pain, and stands on their side, and their legitimate demands, pointing out that the Council will be alongside the people and their capabilities, and will not be silent for the suffering of the people of the south, and will have a strict position to ensure a decent life for all members of the people of the South.
In turn, the heads and members of the Legal Department and the Legal Committee, expressed their appreciation for the efforts of President Al-Zubaidi that aimed at restoring the southern right to restore the Independent State of the South.
During the meeting, they presented a brief on the work of the Department and the Committee, and their plans to be implemented during the coming period and the most important difficulties facing their work.
