President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) highlighted that April 24, 2016, will remain an exceptional event in the history of our people of the South, where the heroes of our armed forces from the brave Hadrami Elite Forces (HEF) achieved a resounding historic victory, culminating in the expulsion of the remnants of the terrorist organization AQAP from the Hadramaut Coast with the support and backing of our official brothers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
It was stated in a post on his social media pages on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the liberation of the Coast of Hadramaut from terrorist organizations, the full text of which is as follows:
"April 24, 2016, will remain an exceptional event in the history of our people in the South, a day on which the heroes of our armed forces from the brave Hadrami Elite Forces (HEF) achieved a resounding historic victory, culminating in the expulsion of the remnants of the terrorist organization AQAP from the coastal areas of Hadramaut with the support and backing of our noble brothers in the UAE.
A glorious day that history will immortalize by narrating to generations to come of those noble heroes who ultimately sacrificed their precious souls and pure blood to embody a historic epic that transformed the coastal areas into an oasis of security and safety, and reality on the ground is the crystal-clear evidence.
As we celebrate the anniversary of that glorious day, we pray for the souls of the martyrs of our valiant armed forces who sacrificed their lives in defense of the pure soil of the homeland, and all the greetings to those brave men who continue to pursue the remnants of terrorism and destroy their hideouts throughout the entirety of our beloved South."
