President Al-Zubaidi Delivers Address to People of the South both at Home and Abroad on the 9th Anniversary of Liberation of the Capital, Aden

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), delivered an important speech to the people of the South both at home and abroad on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, Aden.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

All praise is for Allah, Lord of the Worlds. May the praise of Allah and His peace be on Prophet Muhammad [PBUH], his family, and Companions.

Allah, the Almighty,  says in the holy Quran: (If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him? And upon Allah, let the believers rely. (160)

O great people of our beloved South, O people of the dear capital, Aden

It is an immense honor and pleasure to share with you, on this blessed night, and on this great day, the twenty-seventh day of the blessed month of Ramadan, the celebration of the ninth anniversary of the decisive victory achieved for our eternal capital, Aden, thanks to the forearms of its brave heroes, young men, women, and elderlies, who exemplified in the battle of liberation the noblest meaning of ultimate sacrifice and pride, marking with their pure blood the greatest epics on the pages of our national liberation history, which is full of great acts of heroism in rejecting injustice, tyranny, and occupation.

O masses of our proud people

Indeed, the liberation of the capital, Aden, from the Houthi terrorist militia was not only a victory for the capital, Aden, and the South, but it was a triumph for the Arab project led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, we all have the right to be proud that our capital, Aden, and its people were the first to achieve the remarkable victory for our nation in its struggle against the Iranian expansionist project, its destructive plans and ambitions, and its terrorist militias in the country and the region.

The promising youth of Aden and the South

The immense sacrifices made by our blessed martyrs in the pursuit of freedom and liberation from injustice and tyranny over more than three decades have been and will definitely remain the ray that brightens the path for us, and our well-seated approach, from which we have not and will never deviate, until the full goals of our people are achieved, at the forefront of which is the restoration and building of their independent federal state of the South, with its capital in Aden, is the pledge of a man of his word to a man that we have made to ourselves, and we will remain loyal to it as long as we live.

On this momentous occasion, we find it an opportunity to renew our thanks and praise to our offical brothers in the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, who rose up as one man to support our people in their fateful battle against the ill-ambitions of Iran and its militias, and we pledge to them that we will remain loyal to that noble Arab stance and to the ultimate sacrifices and pure blood of the blessed martyrs of the brave heroes of the Saudi, Emirati, Bahraini and Sudanese forces, whose blood has mingled with the blood our valiant southern resistance, forming the most pompous and powerful images of cohesiveness and fateful partnership in the past, present and future.

At the end, we extend our greetings to the soldiers, officers, and leaders of our valiant armed forces, to all our security and military forces stationed in the fields of honor, and to the people of our homeland working in all fields of giving and duty. We join hands with you, and we urge you to remain steadfast on the path of freedom. With you, our victory will be complete, and we will restore and build our independent federal state of the South that preserves all rights and upholds the dignity and honor of the southern citizen, wherever he or she may be.
Mercy and immortality to our blessed martyrs, healing to the honorable wounded, victory and glory to our beloved South.
