Abdul Rahman Sheikh inspects headquarters of Backup and Support Brigades in Aden the capital

The member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, member of the negotiating delegation, Mr. Abdulrahman Sheikh, paid an inspection visit the headquarters of the Backup and Support Command in Aden the capital, where he was received by the Commander-in-Chief of the Backup and Support Brigades, Brigadier Mohsen Al-Wali, and a number of the brigade leaders.

At his visit, Abdurrahman Sheikh, conveyed to the leadership of the Support Forces the greetings of the President, Commander Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, the member of the Presidency and Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit.

Sheikh praised the level of cohesion of the support forces in eliminating terrorist cells, stressing that the support brigades and security belts constitute a military institution with an effective force representing the sects of the people of the south of all regions, praising its role in controlling security and stability inside and outside the capital Aden.

Sheikh stressed the need to present an upscale image to citizens at security facilities and points, as well as developing the forces through training and qualification and invent new ideas that keep pace with the stage.

In turn, Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Wali, Commander of the Backup and Support Forces, welcomed Mr. Abdul Rahman Sheikh: “Today we are honored by the visit of one of the Backup and Support heroes, who had a hand in placing the first building blocks for the forces that played a pivotal role at a time when all the security services collapsed due to the unjust war waged by the Iranian militia in the region over the capital Aden in 2015"

Al-Wali praised the Transitional Council's interest and keenness in the Backup and Support brigades, represented by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, and by providing them with up-to-date needs.

Abdul Rahman Sheikh also toured a number of administrative offices in the forces' departments and got briefed on the progress of work in them, praising the hard work he observed in all offices and departments.
