Presidency of Southern Transitional Council holds its Periodic meeting chaired by Al-Jaadi

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Sunday,  its periodic meeting chaired by Mr, Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, the Assistant Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council Presidency.

At the beginning of the meeting, the attendees stood for a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs of the south who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland on the battle fronts in Abyan, Al Dhalea, Thirah, and the western borders of the south, asking the Almighty Allah to grant them with his mercy, and to bless the wounded with a speedy recovery .

The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the political and military situation, appreciating the huge sacrifices made by our heroes on various fronts, and affirming the Council and the South's commitment to follow in their footsteps until the goal of restoring the southern state with full sovereignty is achieved.

The Presidency of the Council stressed that the influential Brotherhood militia in the Yemeni government is still creating one obstacle after another to obstruct the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, and it continues to forcefully price its attrition war, human and material alike, to impose its aggressive plans to re-subjugate the south to its rule and continue plundering its wealth.

The meeting pointed out that the patience of the Transitional Council and the heroes on the fronts and behind them all the people of the south, which we committed to for a whole year within the framework of the truce, is no longer possible, in light of the insistence of the enemies of the south on thwarting it in advance and turning it into a long-term war of attrition, the time has come to cut short this cheap conspiracy against the cause of our people that is being run from the closed rooms of decision-makers and its financiers in Qatar and Turkey.

The meeting discussed the proposal presented by the General Secretariat to unify the terms of the political and media discourse of the Council. It also listened to the report of the weekly activities of the General Secretariat and the activities of the National Assembly.

The meeting also discussed the results of the work of the Council’s presidency committee to evaluate the performance of local leaderships in some governorates, in addition to the results of the members' participation in political workshops and seminars.
