The General Secretariat discusses economic scene in the South and media performance

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Monday, its periodic meeting chaired by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, the Assistant Secretary-General.

In the meeting, Al-Jaadi stressed on the need to sense the suffering of the citizens in Aden due to the current situation, stressing also on the need to re-establish the existence of the state, and benefit from the southern cadre, who must be ready and fully prepared to offer the assistance to help all of those seeking the good for Aden the capital, at the forefront of them the Governor Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, calling on everyone to be in his support and at his side to pull the capital out of the difficult reality in which it is living.

The meeting reviewed a report of the economic scene for the past two weeks, which included a full explanation of the problems of lands and public property, and the high exchange rate of foreign currencies, the rise in commodity prices and remittance fees, as well as developments in the oil market and its derivatives, as well as humanitarian aids and the mechanism for its distribution, in addition to the poor public services and obstruction of salaries, falter of investment projects, and deterioration of tourism.

The meeting also discussed the report submitted by the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department on the level of job discipline in the General Secretariat of the Presidency for the month of August 2020.

The attendees listened to a report on the performance of the media department during the period from January to August 2020, in which the attendees praised the great role that the media department plays as an official interface that performs the official media work of the Council as required, and the efforts it makes in this aspect.

The meeting had also reviewed and approved its previous minutes, in addition to the reports of the activities of the General Secretariat departments during the past week, the assignments entrusted to the General Secretariat and what was related to them.
