Al-Kaf discusses with Deputy Ambassador of France developments related to implementing the Riyadh Agreement

Eng. Adnan Mohammad Al-Kaf, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, member of the Council's Negotiations Affairs Unit, received on Thursday, at his residence in Riyadh, Mr. Christopher Katasian, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of France to Yemen.

The meeting discussed the latest developments related to the Riyadh Agreement, and the steps that have been implemented, and the Transitional Council’s position regarding them after the Council’s decision to suspend its participation in the consultations of the Agreement implementation.

Al-Kaf stressed that this step comes in order to expedite the implementation of the agreement, reaffirming the Council’s adherence to the Riyadh Agreement and appreciating all the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the team overseeing the implementation of the agreement.

In his speech, Al-Kaf touched on the importance of France's support for the governor and director of security in Aden, and to make Aden the capital a model for the rest of the provinces.

For his part, Mr. Katasian thanked Eng. Al-Kef for the good reception, stressing his country's support for all efforts to implement the Riyadh Agreement and the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Adel Al-Shabhi, representative of the General Department for Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, and Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Secretary of the Negotiations Affairs Unit.
