President Al-Zubaidi holds video call meeting with Swedish Special Envoy to Middle East and North Africa

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, held today, Thursday, from his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, a video call meeting with the Swedish Special Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Peter Sembni.

The meeting discussed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to solve the existing crisis, in which President Al-Zubaidi stressed on the position of the Transitional Council towards the need to form a new government, in addition to addressing the humanitarian situation, including facing epidemics and restoring public services.

President Al-Zubaidi also affirmed the Transitional Council's support for the comprehensive peace process sponsored by the United Nations through its Special Envoy Martin Griffiths, as well as the Transitional Council's readiness to participate in the process effectively.

For his part, the Swedish envoy appreciated the position of the Transitional Council and its emphasis on a peaceful solution, stressing that they are making efforts in supporting the Kingdom's efforts to accelerate finding a solution.
