Southern Transitional Council holds video call meeting with UN envoy Martin Griffiths

The Southern Transitional Council held on Wednesday, an important meeting with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Martin Griffiths, in which they discussed peace efforts to resolve the crisis in Yemen, and ways to face the humanitarian situation in light of the spread of Corona virus pandemic.

This meeting comes within the framework of the ongoing discussions between the Transitional Council and the Office of the Special Envoy for the calm and cease-fire efforts, and the measures of establishing confidence, and the humanitarian file, in order to achieve the political process that the envoy seeks to launch.

The meeting was attended from the Transitional Council side by Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Chairman of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, and Mr. Ali Al-Katheeri, member of the Presidency of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Negotiation Affairs Unit, and Mr. Amr Al-Beedh, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Mr. Mohamed Al-Ghaithi, Deputy Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, member of the Negotiations Affairs Unit.

The side of the Envoy of the UN Secretary-General included Mr. Moeen Shareem, Deputy Envoy, and Mr. Marwan Al-Ali, Chief of Advisors - Head of Aden Office, and the Advisors of the UN Envoy, Mr. Peter Rice, Mr. Masaki Watanabi.
