Major General Ben Brik confirms Transitional Council's support for ceasefire efforts

Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, along with the vice-chairman of the National Assembly, Lawyer Niran Sooki, and Brigadier Ali al-Shaybah, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, visited, on Thursday, the military training Matter Camp of the Southern armed forces.

On his visit, Major General Ben Brik was received by the commander of the Southern Resistance 7 Battalion, Anis Al-Subaihi, in which Major General Bin Brik inspected the conditions of the trainees, as he praised the security alert of the valiant forces stationed on all fronts and in all fighting positions and fields.

In a speech delivered, the Chairman of the National Assembly sent a message to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the UN Special Envoy, saying: "The Transitional Council supports the efforts of ceasefire and resorting to the negotiations table to come up with final solutions to all issues, particularly the South issue."

Maj. Gen. Ben Brik asserted that the leadership of the Transitional Council is steadfast and cannot be retracted from the project of restoring the Southern state for the martyrs and the wounded who are still receiving treatment at home and abroad, as we are ready to defend our cause and our people.

Major General Ben Brik added, "To reassure the people of the South that their leaders are present with them in all difficult stages of life, in light of the complete absence of the role of legitimacy towards these people who suffer many issues, and we will not abandon them despite the difficulties they face and the provocations that they are exposed to by the hostile forces (the group of Muslim Brotherhood) that dragged us to the square of violence, in order to split the southern lines and provoke sedition among the sons of the South.
