Transitional Council Leadership with Ministry of Health and International Organizations inspect Al-Amal Hospital

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Sokatri, on Thursday, paid an inspection visit to Al-Amal Health Hospital in Borika district, which is equipped as a health quarantine to receive any cases of the coronavirus.

Al-Sokatri was accompanied in the inspection visit with Dr. Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, Acting Chairman of the Relief and Humanitarian Action Committee, Head of Transitional Council local leadership in Aden the capital, and Lawyer Niran Sooki, Member of the Presidency of Transitional Council, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Dr. Salem Al-Shabahi, Chairman of the Corona Virus Control Committee in the Council.

Major General Al-Sokatri and his accompanying leaderships of the Transitional Council met in the inspection visit Dr. Ali Al-Waleedi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and the administration of Al-Amal Hospital, and officials from the World Health Organization, Médecins Sans Frontières, in addition to the administration of Aden refineries, and a number of doctors and health and pharmaceutical organizations, in which they stood before the readiness status of Al-Amal Hospital in preparations, medical equipment, and technical staff, in which they checked out the diagnostic departments, intensive care rooms, laboratories, medical equipment and devices available in the hospital.

The attendees also discussed how to harness all the capabilities to support and enhance health and medical competences through the support provided by international donor agencies and organizations and relief and humanitarian centers.

The attendees agreed on the necessity of joining all efforts and work in the spirit of one team and overcoming all difficulties and facilitating the procedures that would accelerate the completion of the necessary requirements to ensure the availability of health treatments and equipment in anticipation of any emergency situation that might result in the event of any infection with the Corona virus or the transmission of the epidemic to the country.
