The General Secretariat holds its periodic meeting chaired by Major General Al-Sokatri

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held, on Tuesday, its periodic meeting at its headquarter in the capital, Aden, under the chairmanship of Major General Salem Abdullah Al- Sokatri, the Assistant Secretary-General.

In the meeting, Major General Al- Sokatri congratulated all the women of the south, on the occasion of International Women's Day, which comes on March 8 of each year, praising the prominent role that southern women played during the various phases of the struggle of the southern people.

Al- Sokatri stressed in the meeting on the necessity of raising the level of coordination between the departments of the General Secretariat and the local leaderships with a joint jurisdiction to raise the pace of work to serve the aspirations of our southern people.

The meeting stood before the unauthorized domination on the lands in the capital Aden, and in the rest of the southern governorates, as it is a systematic plan aimed at sabotaging the south, in which the meeting discussed a number of proposals and recommendations presented by the departments that would help in addressing many issues and overcoming the difficulties in this regard.

The meeting reviewed a report submitted by the Economic Department on the economic scene in the southern governorates, and many economic issues that affect the life of the southern citizens, especially the frequent black out of electricity, and the excessive rise in food prices in the capital Aden and the rest of the south governorates.

 The meeting discussed the report submitted by the political department on the political scene in the south, in addition to two reports submitted by the public department and the economic department on the most important activities carried out during the past two months.
