Chairman of the National Assembly meets Director of Geneva Call

The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, received on Sunday,  in Aden the capital, Ms. Dina Al-Mamoun, Director of Geneva Call and its accompanying members.

The meeting reviewed the tasks of the National Assembly, and its role among the southern community, and its contact with all issues of concern to the citizens in the south.

Major General Bin Brik also provided a brief explanation of the developments on the southern scene, and the results of the final statement report with decisions and recommendations of the third session of the National Assembly that was held in the middle of january, regarding the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

For her part, Ms. Dina Al-Mamoun reviewed missions of the organization and its focus on international humanitarian law and its impelemntation to provide protection to civilians during armed conflict.

The Director of Geneva Call expressed her happiness at this meeting, praising the successes achieved for the third session of the National Assembly, and its recommendations and decisions that would restore the lifeline of all state facilities and institutions, as well as improving the citizens level of live in the southern governorates.
