Dr. Al-Wali meets Director of Project Services at the United Nations Office (UNOPS)
Dr. Abdul-Nasser Al-Wali, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the local leadership in Aden the capital, met on Wednesday, Mr. Moeen Almas, Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in the capital Aden, Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea.
Dr. Al-Wali discussed with Mr. Almas, the projects implemented by the organization in the country, and reasons of the falter of some others of them.
The head of the local leadership in the capital praised the organization's efforts in some projects that benefit the local community, such as lighting and paving roads.
Dr. Al-Wali urged the organization to assess and identify urgent needs for some projects, the most important of which are water and electricity sectors, expressing the Transitional Council's readiness to cooperate with the organization to overcome obstacles facing its activities.
For his part, the director of "UNOPS" previewed the efforts of the organization and its projects that are currently in progress, appreciating the leadership of the Transitional Council for its understanding and cooperation in the framework of helping the organization to implement its activities.
