The Office of Foreign Relations of Southern Transitional Council in Canada launches its activities

The Director of the Office of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Southern Transitional Council in Canada, Abdulkarim Ahmed Saeed, met on Friday with Mr. Chandra Arya, member of the Canadian Parliament for the ruling Liberals party.

In the meeting, Saeed reviewed with the Canadian official a number of topics related to the activity of the Foreign Relations Office of the Transitional Council in Canada, stressing on the desire to enhance the relationship between the Southern Transitional Council and the southern people with the Canadian government and the Canadian people.

During the meeting, Saeed presented detailed explanation on the people of the south humanitarian suffering caused by the war in the society, economy, health and services.

Mr. Chandra got briefed on the vision of the Southern Transitional Council to resolve the Yemeni crisis, including stopping the war and involving all political forces present on the ground in the final political settlement talks to resolve the Yemen crisis.

The meeting reviewed the successes achieved by the Southern Transitional Council on the foreign level through the visits of the President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, expressing the wish and expectation of the leadership of the Transitional Council to visit Canada as well and strengthening the Transitional Council's relationship with the Canadian political forces.

For his part, Mr. Chandra Arya expressed his readiness to convey the contents of the meeting to be discussed in the Canadian Parliament regarding the Yemeni crisis, as well as conveying the vision of the Southern Transitional Council to end the war and bring peace to Yemen.
