The Southern National Assembly concludes its second session in Mukalla

The Southern National Assembly concluded its second session in the city of Mukalla in Hadramout province.

 

The meetings of the National Assembly, chaired by Major General Ahmed Saeed Ben Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, witnessed a number of deliberations among its members, including issues related to the situation in the south and some of its regions suffering from terrorism and security chaos, in addition to files of corruption affected the electricity sector and the looting of land.

 

A number of resolutions and recommendations were issued at the end of the second session, here they are:

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the Southern Transitional Council should carefully monitor the files of Hadhramaut desert and valley, Shabwa, Al-Mehra, Socotra and Mukiras – Abian and to take all necessary measures to impower citizens in these governorates to wisely rule their governorates.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the Southern Transitional Council should empower elites’ troops in Hadhramaut desert and valley, Shabwa, Al-Mehra, Socotra and Mukiras – Abian.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the Southern Transitional Council should revive the relationship with president Abd Rabu Mansour Hady to serve the interests of the southern cause and empower southern citizens to run their organizations and resources away from extremist political and terrorist powers.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the Southern Transitional Council should face all tries of the corrupt government that aims to disturb the security, stability and social peace in the south in addition to marginalizing southern cadres. The assembly warns the corrupt government that the assembly will take all necessary measures to stop this miss.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the legal commission of the Southern National Assembly and the legal commission of the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council should take all measures to stop missing up with educational curricula and directing it to serve political goals in addition to addressing all specialized Arab and International Organizations to stop these violations.

The Southern National Assembly denounces all random occupation and missing up with plans of lands and state and private sector properties and suggests that concerned bodies should face such acts seriously as the assembly considers all those who participated in such acts as outlaws and should be assumed legally liable to punishment no matter who they are or under which cover they work.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the Southern Transitional Council should pay more attention to families of martyrs and injured and help them live in dignity.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that youth and women should be empowered to participate in decision-making process in the Southern Transitional Council and to support their social role according to national and international conventions in addition to activating their active role in creating the present and future.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the presidency of Southern Transitional Council should activate the role of syndicates, trade unions and vocational and artistic organizations in addition to NGOs and to provide them with southern national identity.

The Southern National Assembly suggests that the Southern Transitional Council should keep opening positive communication channels with the regional and international societies and states with permanent membership of UN Security Council and sponsoring states and to urge them to respond to the southern will and right of establishing a free independent state.

Being held in Hadhramaut, the Southern National Assembly suggests that outcomes agreed upon by Hadhramauti figures in Hadhramaut Inclusive Conference should be accounted for and activated according to the political vision of the southern transitional council and principles of preserving national unity of the Arab South.

The Southern National Assembly appreciates and supports the call of it chairman to all southern parliament members of the expired Yemeni parliament to join the Southern National Assembly.
