Shatara and Al-Naqeeb meet officials of the British Foreign Office in London

Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC)- Lutfi Shatara, along with Dr. Eidaroos Al-Naqeeb – Head of Foreign Affairs Department, met in London with Ms. Natasha Bolger and Mr. Chris Halidi – officials of Yemen file in the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). During the meeting  they exchanged views on the activities of the Southern Transition Council in Europe, America, and the rest of the world. Shatara presented to the British officials detailed explanation on the efforts and steps of the Presidency of the STC headed by Major General\ Eidaroos Al-Zubaidi within the framework of strengthening the organizational structure and leadership institutions to increase popular participation within the council and its institutions.

Shatara also called the British government to exert more pressure on Yemen government that pushes the South to political, economic, and security chaos instead of providing solutions to economic crisis top of them the local currency deterioration, which may lead to unpredictable options.

For his side,  Dr. Eidaroos Al-Naqeeb said that the Southern Transition Council is the result of two decades of peaceful struggling to reach the goal of the people of the south to restore their state within the borders of 1990. He expressed that STC is open for all the south forces, in which the southerners will always be one body to reach the political entitlements that guarantee the South sovereignty and its state that accommodates everyone.

For their part, the British officials welcomed the STC representatives and expressed their happiness for this meeting which comes within the framework of the British side's meetings with various political parties with the rapid developments in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by the Advisor of the Foreign Affairs Department, the lawyer Mohammed Al-Sahimi.
