Shatara said that the meeting opened up a broader scope of direct communication between the Southern Transitional Council and the French Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Shatara gave a detailed explanation on the Southern Transition Council since Aden's Historic Announcement in the one million rally of 4 May 2017 and the delegation of President Aidroos al-Zubaidi, to form a Southern leadership for uniting the Southern people and to present the Southern people's choice to the international community in any future political negotiations.

Shatara made it clear that the Southerners fought for their cause and became after the war real partners with the international community and the Arab coalition countries in the fight against terrorism and extremism, affirming that the Council is open to the international community that respects the Southern people's will, guaranteed by the international charters.

He stressed that the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are fighting strongly terrorism and have achieved concrete results after a real and serious war to eliminate that lesion.

He added that the Council will continue to deal positively in a way that preserves the right of Southerners to achieve their goal with regional and international support.

For their part, the French diplomatic officials welcomed the member of the STC's presidency and head of the Information Department Lutfi Shatara, expressing their pleasure for this meeting which is in the framework of the French side's meetings with political parties in line with the fast developments in the Middle East.

On the same track, Shatara is expected to meet British Foreign Office officials in the coming days in London in addition to journalists and researchers who have remarkable fingerprints in introducing the legitimate Southern cause since its early days.
