Aden Prepares for the Historic Inaugural Meeting of the National Assembly

Aden is witnessing comprehensive preparations for the inauguration of an historic event in the lives of the southerners and the south; the inauguration of the National Assembly. All the 303 members will gather for the first time as representatives of Southern Transitional Council, ‘ The National Assembly’, on Saturday the 23rd of December 2017.

The presidium of the STC represented by its president Aidros Al Zubaidi and the coordinating bodies of the southern governorates are working around the clock to make the National Assembly meeting a turning point in the political history of the south. The announcement , formation and operation  of the National Assembly  will be a new institutional transformation for  the Transitional Council , which will be desperately needed to face the coming political challenges and will be a means to move towards achieving the goals of the southern revolution, at the forefront of which is the  restoration and construction of a modern Southern  State.

The STC called on the people of the south to support its presidium and the National Assembly and stand as one in the face of all the distractive plots which aim to destruct the southerners’ just cause and to damage all what they have achieved and sacrificed their lives for.

The presidium said , ‘ We need to prove to our people and to the international community that we are united  and will move in one direction steadily to complete our project in fulfilling our united goal .

Head of the Information department Lutfi Shatara said , ‘The countdown has began to the date of the inauguration of the much awaited National Assembly , the 23rd of December , where all members will start congregating from all the southern governorates to the capital Aden to take part in the foundation meeting' .

Adding ,'The National Assembly which will operate in partnership with the presidium of the STC will steer the people in the next stage towards  achieving  the aspirations and hopes of the southerners and build their state based on justice , equal citizenship and for all to live a decent, safe and stable life'.
