The STC Department of Foreign Relations Celebrates October and Holds a Consultative Meeting in Cairo

The STC Department of Foreign Relations held a consultative meeting in Cairo chaired by Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, deputy head of the department in presence of Professor Ali Haitham Al-Gharib and a number of leaders of the southern community in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and a number of southern cadres, academics, residents and students in the Arab Republic of Egypt .

The meeting which came in conjunction with the 54th anniversary of the glorious 14th of October Revolution, is considered as a move to activate the STC work in the Arab region .

The meeting began by a speech presented by the deputy head of the STC Department of Foreign Relatiobyns Mohammed al-Ghaithi in which he conveyed the greetings of the presidentof the Southern Transitional Council Major General Aidros Qasim al-Zubaidi to all the southerners in the Arab world, then he reviewed the STC foreign policy; objectives, action map and the tasks to be accomplished.
Al-Ghaithi stressed the need to rearrange the working papers and to unify the efforts of southern individuals or institutions outside the country to get more effective positive results in order to present the southern people's just cause to the international community in the right way .

The meeting's attendees heard numerous presentations that reviewed the phases of the southern struggle since October 1963 till the suffering of the the post-1990 ominous unity .

The participants touched on a range of political issues on the southern scene, affirming their support to the STC efforts for restoring the land and the state institutions .

They expressed their profound gratitude to the Arab coalition countries, especially , the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates , for all the great efforts they made and their historical stances in helping the southerners getting rid of the epidemic of terror supported by the coup plotters and the Muslim Brotherhood . They also thanked the Arab coalition countries for their efforts to rebuild the state institutions and to support the wheel of development .

The participants confirmed their support for the steps taken by the Southern Transitional Council to restore the stolen political rights of the southerners and they presented a number of important proposals to be included in the STC foreign policy program , showing their readiness to serve their national cause abroad and to participate under the mechanism drawn up by the Southern Transition Council and to employ all the potentials of the southern communities for that purpose, in addition to communicate with the official and non-official bodies to support the the Southern Transition Council and the southern cause .
