While Reviewing its Action Plan.. Administrative Body of the Assembly Stresses the Government's Rationalization of Expenditures Not to Harm Citizens

The Administrative Body in the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) reviewed on Monday its plan for the year 2023, headed by Dr. Anis Luqman, deputy head of the National Assembly, with the participation of Mr. Lotfi Shatara, member of the STC's Presidium and deputy chairman of the Assembly.

During the meeting, the action plan was approved, the mechanism for its implementation was discussed, and certain remarks were raised by the members of the administrative body.

The body, too, stood before the monthly reports submitted by the heads of the committees and made a decision to implement the activities of the members and committees and to submit a report on the level of attendance during the past year, within the framework of the committees, to the leadership of the National Assembly.

The administrative body shed light on the decisions made by the government to hike the customs dollar rate, electricity and water tariffs, and gas pricing without taking any countermeasures to rationalize its expenditures with mechanisms other than those related to hiking the price of the customs dollar and the water and electricity tariffs that burden the daily living of citizens in light of the failure to increase the wage and salary structure and make annual allowances and increments for state employees.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Qassem, Office Head of the Chairman of the National Assembly.
