Al-Khubaji Reviews Outcomes of Riyadh Consultations with  Responsible Personnel for Committees and Departments in National Assembly and General Secretariat of STC.

Dr. Naser Al-Khubaji, member of the presidency of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), head of the Negotiations Unit, on Monday, in the capital, Aden, held a Ramadan evening with the heads and deputy heads of committees in the National Assembly and departments of the General Secretariat of the STC with participation of presidency members of the STC, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, the deputy of the Secretary General, and Eng. Adnan al-Kaf, Head of Relief and Humanitarian Action Committee, and Brigadier General Pilot Naser al-Saadi.

In the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Anis Luqman, deputy chairman of the National Assembly, Dr. Najwa Fadl, chairperson of the Supreme Committee for Southern Women, Al-Khubaji gave a detailed explanation of Riyadh consultations, reviewed the political gains that have been achieved by delegation of the STC chaired by the president Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, deputy chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, for people of the South and the Southern issue in the outcomes of those consultations, explicated the fulfilled achievements such as restructuring the legitimacy after a certain group had seized its resolutions, and the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council with participation of the STC to become a key partner in sovereigny over decision-making, he pointed out importance of working to support the Presidential Council, especially in the process of development, construction, restructuring State institutions, fighting corruption, boosting the economic and service aspects to ease suffering of citizens and improve standard of living.

Al-Khubaji stressed on pinning down the issue of people of the South at the head of the statement, suggestions of Riyadh consultations and placing it in a specific framework with a clear and explicit text in consultations of the final solution, as determined by people of the South, considered it to be one of the most important political triumphs achieved by the STC, in the same context, he noted importance of implementing the remaining provsions in Riyadh Agreement and to work on the results of Riyadh consultations as a roadmap to reach the final and comprehensive solution.

Dr. Al-Khubaji valued the strong partnership with the official brothers in the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and their position on the country's current situation, praised speech of the Saudi Ambassador, Mr. Mohammed Al-Jaber, on the results of Riyadh consultations and including the issue of people of the South in consultations of the final solution, concluding his speech by emphasizing importance of liaising unity of the southern attitudes at this intricate stage, and should not deviate from the Southern fundamentals, stressing the need to do whatever serves people of the South and their cause.

For his part, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi indicated, in the meeting, that the present time requires strengthening executive and legislative work in the fields and on the ground, particularly with developments that the country is facing after outcomes of Riyadh consultations, stressing importance of working with people and elites to benefit from ordeals experienced by the South to achieve aspirations of the Southern people.

Eng. Adnan al-Kaf also spoke on importance of rebuilding and managing institutions of the State by qualified and distinguished cadres and personalities having the abilities to develop such institutions for the sake of the country and its citizens, indicating to essentiality of encouraging and attracting investment on the land of the South, and stressing on necessity of concern for education and training to build the country and its cadres, affirming what has been achieved so far, as an immense triumph that must be preserved and benefited from it for whatever would serve interest of people of the South.

The meeting involved presenting a number of interventions, remarks and visions from the attendees on the results of Riyadh consultations and the current situation; including the military, security, economic and service aspects, in addition to discussing several points that, generally, expressed concern for the interest of people of the South, the Southern issue, and ways to maintain this major success and gains that have been achieved to the southerners and work to enhance such successfulness.
