STC Al-Qatn Launches Food Basket Distribution for Vulnerable Families

The Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Al-Qatn District, Hadramaut Governorate, launched on Wednesday the distribution of food baskets that was provided by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the STC President, for the vulnerable families in the district.

During the distribution, the LLEB head in Al-Qatn, Mr. Mohammed Al-Haddad, stated that this step comes in recognition of the social responsibility towards vulnerable families, amid living conditions that require the concerted efforts of official and community bodies to alleviate the suffering of citizens.

Mr. Al-Haddad explained that distribution teams in the district had worked since early on to prepare an accurate database to ensure the food aid reaches those who well deserve it, reflecting principles of justice and organisation. He praised the cooperation of community committees and volunteers in the success of the campaign.

Al-Haddad pointed out that the STC in Al-Qatn will continue to implement social and humanitarian programmes supporting poor families, stemming from its national and community role and its commitment to strengthening the values of solidarity and cohesiveness among members of the community.

Beneficiary citizens expressed their sincere thanks for this initiative, considering it a real source of support in the difficult economic conditions, and extended their gratitude to President Al-Zubaidi and all those responsible for implementing and coordinating this humanitarian campaign.
