STC Acting President Gets Briefed on Service and Security Conditions in Al Dhale'a Governorate

 

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Thursday, with Major General Ali Maqbel Saleh, Governor of Al Dhale'a Governorate.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Kathiri was briefed by Major General Ali Maqbel on the overall situation in Al-Dhale'a Governorate, including the performance of the local authority and its districts, the progress of service projects aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens, as well as the military and security situation, highlighting the remarkable achievements of the Southern Armed Forces in repelling the attacks of the Houthi terrorist militia on the border fronts.

The acting president of the STC received a detailed briefing on the plans and programs being undertaken by the local authority in the governorate and its districts to meet the needs of citizens in the areas of education, roads, water, electricity, and more. In addition to the tireless efforts that have been exerted by the governorate's leadership to secure funding from international organisations to implement these plans and programs due to the inadequacy of the government budget allocated to them.

Al-Kathiri asserted that the STC, through its local leadership executive body in Al-Dhale'a Governorate, is keen to contribute and lend a helping hand to improve the overall situation in the governorate, stressing the importance of solidarity and cooperation to enhance basic services and strengthen security and stability.
