The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, checked on the conditions of the citizens in the city of Mukalla, which witnessed heavy rains and torrents, last Wednesday evening.
This came during a phone call on Saturday, with the head of the executive body of the local leadership of the council in Hadhramaut governorate, Brigadier General Saeed Ahmed Saeed Al-Mohammadi, who briefed President Al-Zubaidi on the extent of the damage caused by the disaster on the city’s infrastructure and citizens’ homes, and the urgent needs to mitigate its damage, in which President Al-Zubaidi expressed the council's readiness to provide more support to the affected people, and to continue removing waste, opening streets and suctioning rains water from them.
For his part, Al-Mohammadi, on behalf of the sons of Hadhramaut, expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for his interest in Hadhramaut, and his haste to help it and mitigate the effects of the disaster.
Al-Mohammadi pointed out that the work of cleaning the streets from the remnants of the disaster, which was inaugurated on Friday, according to President Al-Zubaidi's instructions and generous support, and will continue to cover the various neighborhoods, pointing to the city's need for more support, as the damage caused by the disaster caused the closure of a number of streets.
