The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, on Thursday, held a meeting chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the Council's ministers in the government of power-sharing between the South and the North, the Council's presidency reviewed the latest developments in the South on all political, military, security and economic levels.
The Presidency of the Council stressed the necessity of continuing the state of emergency in all districts of the capital, Aden, and the rest districts of the governorates of the South, and all fighting fronts, based on the announcement of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, to confront any dangers surrounding the South by the enemies of its cause its steadfast people, and to confront the Houthi invasion, and criminal elements.
The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council called on all citizens in the southern homeland to continue responding and cooperating with the security and military agencies, and reporting any criminal and sabotage elements, stressing that the southern security and military agencies should deal firmly with anyone who seeks to harm the security and stability of the south, or try to approach its land, and should maintain security and stability, and stop any gatherings or activities aimed at destabilizing or harming public peace, state property and citizens.
The Presidency also reviewed the latest developments in the governorates of Shabwa and Abyan, calling on all southern armed forces formations to remain in a state of preparedness and combat readiness, and to continue mobilizing efforts and energies to confront the aggression of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, and anyone trying to occupy or subjugate the South.
The Presidency of the Council valued the visit of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, Mr. Hans Grundberg, and his accompanying delegation to the southern capital, Aden, stressing that this visit proves, beyond any doubt, the stable security situation that Aden, the eternal capital of the South, enjoys due to the efforts made by the southern security services.
The Presidency renewed the Southern Transitional Council's full support for the steps of the UN envoy, and to provide all necessary facilities for the success of his mission, stressing that the success of the UN envoy depends, to a large extent, on the extent to which national issues are given the highest priority, foremost of which is the issue of the people of the south, represented in their right to restore their independent state with its full sovereignty. .
The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council also listened to a briefing from the Chairman of the Southern Southern Dialogue Committee, and the latest results of the dialogue, which represents a solid and basic basis towards moving forward towards restoring the full sovereignty state of the South on the borders prior to May 21, 1990, stressing the importance of the success of the Southern National Dialogue, and to be together to face the challenges and dangers facing the South and its people.
At the conclusion of its meeting, the Presidency of the Transitional Council stood before a number of issues related to the work of the Council's bodies and took the necessary measures in this regard.
