President Al-Zubaidi meets members of Presidency of the Council; Major General Salem Al-Socotri and Sultan Al-Afrar

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met on Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, the members of the Presidency of the Council, Major General Salem Al- Socotri, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation and Fisheries, and Sultan Abdullah bin Issa Al-Afrar, Chairman of the General Council of the People of Al-Mahra and Socotra.

President Al-Zubaidi welcomed Minister Al-Socotri and Sultan Al-Afrar, praising the heroic and struggling stances of all the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, which expressed the unity of the goal and the cause, noting that these stances are source of pride for all the people of the South.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the Southern Transitional Council pays great attention to the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, as they are the backbone of the desired federal state of the South, for their role in embodying southern cohesion.

The meeting discussed the political, military and security conditions on the southern arena in general, and the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra in particular, and the suffering of the southern citizen as a result of the war of services fabricated by parties and forces that want to subjugate the steadfast people of the South, and confiscate their options, and the ways that would advance the economic and living reality.

For their part, Al- Socotri and Al-Afrar, conveyed to President Al-Zubaidi the greetings of the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra, and their full support for all the steps in his last speech by declaring a state of emergency, and his calling to the Southern Armed Forces to raise their readiness to confront any invasion targeting the land of the South.
