President Al-Zubaidi: Aden is the aim of South, its capital, and its beating heart

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met today, Wednesday, with a group of politicians, economists, writers, journalists, academics, civil society leaders, and representatives of the National Assembly of the Council in the capital, Aden.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness to meet with them and to listened to everything related to the capital, Aden, and the concerns and aspirations of its people on the level of living, services and security, stressing that Aden represents the beating heart of the South, which no force on earth can be able to get it, and its sons, and that systematic targeting against it by the war of services is nothing but a political targeting that is intended to undermine the cultural, historical and political pulse of the city, and it is part of the schemes that aim to strike the values ​​of peace and coexistence that Aden has been accustomed with, and for being the eternal capital of the South.

In his speech to the attendees from the people of Aden, President Al-Zubaidi said: “As we meet with you today and listen from you about your concerns, your suffering and aspirations, we assure you that in the leadership of the Transitional Council we suffer for what hurts you and live your suffering, and we can only highly appreciate your patience and steadfastness in the face of this despicable war aimed at subjugating our people, diverting its national and revolutionary course that aimed at restoring its full sovereignty.”

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the leadership of the Council feels all this suffering, and has exerted, and will exert all its capabilities to provide services, according to what is available, and it is also committed to completing the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, under the auspices of the Arab Coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in which its implementation would meet the life requirements of citizens in the areas of development, living and services.

In his speech, President Al-Zubaidi touched on the historical status of the capital, Aden, as it is the aim that is intended for all the people of the South, the region, and the world, noting that the city of Aden was, and still is, a cradle of peace, coexistence, civilization, history, and trade.

President Al-Zubaidi pointed out that the Southern Transitional Council was able to make the issue of the South a main pillar for any future solutions to the crisis, and it will not give up the legitimate right of its people to restore their free state on their entire national land within the borders prior to May 21, 1990.

In his speech, President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the developments in security and military situation in the South, and the great and continuous victories achieved by the heroes of the Southern Armed Forces on various fronts, foremost of which are Al-Dhalea front, Karish, and Mukairas, in the face of the forces of invasion, evil, and terrorism that direct their mobilizations and their war machine towards the South and Aden the capital.

President Al-Zubaidi noted that the South is currently in a state of transition from revolution to building the desired state, stressing that there are great efforts made by the governor of the capital, Aden, and the ministers of the Council in the government, to secure services and build the institutions of the southern state that have been destroyed by the practices of (Sana’a regime) since after the unification.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need for everyone to concede to each other, and make the interest of the South to be above all, and it governs the relationship between all components of the people of the South.

In their interventions, the attendees expressed their thanks to the President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, for providing the people of the capital, Aden, with the opportunity to listen to their views on a number of different issues of concern to citizens in the capital.

They affirmed their full support for the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, and their support for all steps and measures taken by the local authority in the capital, Aden, in all issues related to the people's lives.

The attendees addressed the case of mass displacement to the southern regions and the capital, Aden, in particular, noting that it has become dangerous and source of worrying health, social, and security.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi responded to the interventions and questions made by the attendees, stressing the Council's welcome of all opinions and proposals presented, and working to find effective solutions to reduce all the crises that Aden the capital suffers from.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, and the members of the Presidency of the Council, Eng.
