President Al-Zubaidi: Our patience for what is practiced against residents of Abyan will not be last long

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met today, Sunday, at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Aden, with leaders, notables and dignitaries of Abyan governorate.

The meeting was attended by the member of the Presidency of the Council, Brigadier General Ali Al-Shaiba, and the commander of the Special Forces of Aden - Abyan - Lahj - Al-Dhalea, Major General Fadl Ba'esh, and the head of the Transitional Council Local Leadership in Abyan, Mouhammad Ahmed Haidara Al-Shaqi, in which, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the attendees from Abyan Governorate, praising the heroic role of the sons of Abyan and their enormous sacrifices in defending the southern homeland and fighting against terrorist organizations.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that Abyan governorate is of strategic importance in the map of the South, noting that Abyan has its own specificity and political weight, and its historical and struggling role, as it represents the gateway to victory.

President Al-Zubaidi added that: "The people of Abyan embody the meanings of loyalty and the spirit of sacrifice for the sake of their homeland and its sovereignty, and they reject the extraneous acts in their governorate, that is funded by external parties to undermine their struggling history, and their homeland," noting that whoever came from outside Abyan governorate is better for him to go to the defense for their land that is being violated by the Houthi militia.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the Transitional Council will not stay silent about what the practice of the forces of terrorism against the people of Abyan, and that the patience of the leadership of the Council will not last.

The president urged the importance of reconciliation and tolerance among all the people of the South, as it is fundamental pillar of the southern victory, pointing out that the South units all its sons, and by all its sons.

At the conclusion of his speech, President Al-Zubaidi mentioned the importance of the Riyadh Agreement, which is considered a safe path out for all, and a unified way for all efforts to fight the Iranian-backed Houthi militia.

For his part, the member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Brigadier General Ali Al-Shaiba, spoke about a number of difficulties that Abyan is experiencing, pointing out to the complicated conditions in the governorate at the present time.

Al-Shaiba praised the active role of the people of Abyan in the recent events, and their standing in the face of the terrorist Brotherhood militia that seeks to destroy the governorate as it did during the past years, saying:" Abyan is from the South, and for the South, and it will not tweet outside the Southern consensus, no matter how delusional people try to draw a false picture about the people of Abyan and their bright heroic history."

In turn, the leaders, notables, and dignitaries of Abyan governorate expressed their thanks and appreciation to President Al-Zubaidi for this fruitful meeting, appreciating the efforts made by him on the path to achieving the goals of the people of the south in restoring the federal state of the South with full sovereignty on the borders before May 21, 1990.

The meeting touched on a number of topics, foremost of which is the danger of terrorist groups returning to the governorate, and how to unify efforts to get Abyan rid of terrorism.

In conclusion, the attendees pointed to the importance of addressing the issues of revenge in Abyan, stressing on preserving the southern political, military and security constants, and what was achieved of great southern victories.
