The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held today, on Thursday, its periodic meeting, chaired by the President of the Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qasim Al-Zubaidi.
The meeting was attended by the ministers of the Council in the government, in which it discussed the procedural steps and executive programs adopted by the local authorities and the competent authorities regarding the arrangements for the entry of the generating feeding to the electrical power current, as well as the floating power station, estimated at "100" megawatts, and starting the signing of contracts as soon as possible.
The Presidency of the Council discussed the ongoing preparations made by the leadership of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, to hold its fifth session in the capital, Aden, in mid-June 2021, stressing the importance of holding this session, and strengthening the oversight work of the Assembly at the level of the southern arena.
The Presidency evaluated the role of the council negotiating delegation that is in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, appreciating the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to resume discussions on the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, and its pivotal role in establishing peace, of which the Riyadh Agreement constitutes its solid and main base for moving towards it.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council stood in front of the escalatory practices of the Yemeni presidency and the government towards the people, and its repudiation of many of its obligations towards the suffering of the citizens, in addition to its insistence on continuing intransigence and deliberate violations to disrupt the course of the Riyadh Agreement, which represents an important turning point out of the current crisis, and of unifying efforts to confront the Persian expansion represented by the Houthi militia, which is a major threat to the security and stability of the Arab region.
