President Al-Zubaidi meets head of Belgian delegation of Doctors Without Borders

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qasim Al-Zubaidi, received on Wednesday, at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Aden, the head of the Belgian Doctors Without Borders delegation, Raphael Vecht, and his deputy, Yefta Miodraj.

In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi got briefed on the efforts of the Belgian organization and the great humanitarian role it plays in the capital, Aden, through its interventions in the face of the Corona pandemic and its contribution to supporting health institutions and quarantine centers.

President Al-Zubaidi listened from Mr. Vecht and his deputy, to the difficulties facing the organization and its working groups that are hindering them from performing their tasks and activities.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi praised Doctors Without Borders' humanitarian role and medical efforts during the last period, in conjunction with the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.

President Al-Zubaidi, called on the organization to open centers for it in all governorates of the South, similar to its humanitarian role in the capital, Aden.

For their part, the head of the Belgian Doctors Without Borders delegation, Raphael Vecht, and his deputy, Yefta Miodraj, praised the efforts made by the Southern Transitional Council in facilitating the tasks of Doctors Without Borders and providing the necessary support for the work of Doctors Without Borders teams.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Salem Al-Shabhi, Head of the Health and Environment Committee at the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Jamhuriya Hospital, and Ahmed Nasser Al-Asal, Advisor to the Head of Mission.
