Presidency of Southern Transitional Council holds its periodic meeting chaired by President Al-Zubaidi

The Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council of the Southern Council held on Monday its periodic meeting, chaired by the President of the Transitional Council, President Aidarous Qasim Al-Zubaidi.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers of the Transitional Council in the Government, in which the Presidency of the Council hailed the legendary steadfastness of the Southern people, and their armed forces, in the face of various political, economic, military and security challenges that target the South economically, military, and politically, unlike what is included in the Riyadh agreement, which was signed under Saudi Arabia sponsorship, and under regional and international support.

The Presidency highly valued the efforts of Saudi Arabia to discuss implementing the remaining provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, for which the leadership of the Transitional Council responded to these efforts by heading the head and members of the Council’s negotiating delegation to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to resume discussions on implementing the remainder of the agreement, to ensure the return of the government to Aden the capital to perform its duties in providing services to citizens, and working to get the country out of its collapsed economic situation.

The Presidency stressed the keenness of the Southern Transitional Council on the success of the Riyadh Agreement, which is the safest way out of the complicated situation in the liberated governorates in the South, and on unifying the efforts to face the Persian Iranian project, which is a real threat to the security and stability of the region.

The Presidency also discussed services issues and its deterioration, top of which the continuous outages of the electricity power, reiterating the southern Transitional Council's commitment to work hard to alleviate the suffering of citizens, and the pursue to increase the generation capacity in the coming weeks.

The Presidency of the Council commended the level of efforts of the local authority in Aden the capital, led by the Governor Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, the Secretary-General of the Council to pull the electricity sector out of its tragic situation, as well as providing its administrations with new qualitative cadres to serve the southern citizens.
