The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, met on Friday the academics of the universities of Aden and Abyan on a Ramadan evening organized by the local leadership of the transitional council in Aden the capital.President Al-Zubaidi said that education is the basis of building any country, stressing on the importance of strengthening the spirit of education in the southern youth, to prevent them from falling into the trap of extremism and terrorism.He said: "Any country gets its development by education, and we at the Southern Transitional Council recognize the importance of education, so we pay great attention to the universities and academics activities and their ideas".He added: "We listen more than we speak. We are here with you to have a heart-to-heart conversation and to listen to you as academics who carry on their shoulders a great task in preserving our youth, and to raise their awareness and guide them for the interest of the nation and its future.""We will support the academics with all the necessary for the southern cause, and they must define their strategy to achieve the goal of building a democratic civilian southern state," Al-Zubaidi said.The president noted that: "Competencies and standards are the basis, and we will not succeed without them, We are working with you to start an improvement in culture, and to promote the Southern identity and we all have to work on this southern national intellectual principle on which we rely on the academics ."President Al-Zubaidi concluded by saying: "Youth are the foundation of the future and they will next take the role to be the leaders of the nation, and here comes the academics role of advice and guidance for them and for us in which we will do all what we can to support you and this is my promise to you, our slogan is to work a lot and not talk a lot, and this is what we do to reach our goal for a better future for our southern state. "After that, the academicians presented their views and observations with transparency, in which the President of the Transitional Council received them with great pleasure and responded in a manner that impressed the audience who expressed at the end of the meeting their happiness with this open conversation that reflects the interest and the care of the Transitional Council in the academics.
