President of the Southern Transitional Council, Maj. Gen. Aidroos Al-Zubaidi Meets the Special Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed

  President of the of the Southern Transitional Council, Major General Aidroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi met this morning with the special envoy to Yemen, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, his deputy Moeen Shrim, the political advisor Mohammed Khater, and the director of the Special Envoy office Tamer Mustafa.

  The meeting discussed a set of suspended issues within the frame work of of the United Nations endeavor to end the war and establish comprehensive peace. The meeting also dealt with the southern cause and the recent developments in Aden and the other Southern cities.

  The UN envoy highly valued the role played by the Southern Transitional Council and its support for the UN efforts to make the peace process possible. Both sides agreed upon continuing the meetings during the upcoming period.
