O free people of Al-Mukalla, city of decision, stance, and sovereignty…
O you who have gathered today in 'The Decision is All Ours' square to renew the covenant and declare that the will of Hadhramaut cannot be broken, and the decision of the South will not be confiscated…
We meet today in this historic square to write together a new page in the chapters of pride and dignity, to affirm our loyalty to the ultimate sacrifices of the blessed martyrs, and to firmly assert our adherence to our legitimate right to restore our state of the South with full sovereignty.
This massive mass rally witnessed in Al-Mukalla, the downtown of Hadhramaut, comes at a critical and sensitive phase for Hadhramaut and the South as a whole. It takes place amid rapid military, security, and political changes that have reshaped the features of the Southern landscape and opened new horizons for completing the path of liberation and restoring the state.
It cannot be ignored that in early December, Hadhramaut governorate witnessed a pivotal national event: the liberation of the Valley and Desert of Hadhramaut from the forces of the First Military Region affiliated with the Yemeni occupation. This liberation was achieved by the Southern Armed Forces (SAF), with an effective and honourable participation from the Hadhrami Elite Forces (HEF), establishing full control over the Valley and Desert. This coincided with the Southern Forces completing their control over the Al-Mahrah governorate as part of consolidating security and sovereignty over the entire geography of South Arabia.
Today, the free sons of Hadhramaut gather in this historic million-person rally, "The Decision is All Ours", in Al-Mukalla city to reaffirm a number of national positions and constants, foremost among them the following:
· Demanding the political leadership of the STC expedite the declaration of the Federal State of South Arabia, as a culmination of the military and security achievements and a consolidation of the South's sovereignty over all its territory.
· Full support for the liberation of the Valley and Desert of Hadhramaut from the Yemeni occupation forces represented by the First Military Region, by the hands of the HEF and SAF.
· Demanding the continued presence and deployment of the SAF and the HEF in the Valley and Desert of Hadhramaut to protect hard-won national gains, impose security and stability, and safeguard the people's resources and wealth from tampering and exploitation by the occupation forces and their tools.
· Endorsement of the supportive positions and decisions issued by ministries and their offices, local authorities, and security services and military forces, which support the decisions and orientations of the political leadership of the STC.
· Emphasising that Hadhramaut represents the strategic depth of the South and rejecting all suspicious attempts and discordant voices that seek to detach Hadhramaut from its Southern entirety and its authentic Southern identity.
· Emphasising the solidity and depth of the strategic relations with South Arabia and the countries of the Arab Coalition, foremost among them the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as key partners in supporting the security and stability of the region.
· Declaring full solidarity for the HEF and supporting and backing them in their efforts to pursue militias operating outside the law and order in the Ghayl Bin Yamin district of the Hadhramaut Plateau.
· Affirming the unity of the Southern ranks and full popular alignment behind the political leadership of the STC, led by President Aidarous bin Qassem Al-Zubaidi.
· Renewing the full popular mandate for President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to lead the revolution of the people of the South and represent their cause before the regional and international communities and the United Nations, and to complete the requirements for restoring and building the Federal State of South Arabia.
· Emphasising that true legitimacy is solely the legitimacy of the people, that the sterling will of peoples is invincible, and demanding that the regional and international communities, and the United Nations, respect the will of the people of the South and their legitimate right to self-determination and the restoration of their fully sovereign state.
