The Senior Executive Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting today, Saturday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), in the presence of his deputy, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, a member of the PLC.
President Al-Zubaidi opened the meeting with brief remarks, providing a concise overview of the latest political and military developments and the communications His Excellency is conducting with regional and international stakeholders to coordinate positions on various topics of shared interest.
The President reaffirmed the success of all recent measures implemented on both the political and military fronts and praised the ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability and to normalize the situation across the governorates of the South, particularly Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra.
The meeting reviewed the efforts made by central and local leadership executive bodies to bolster stability in the various governorates and ensure the provision of public services, prioritizing the supply of domestic gas, improving electricity and water services, maintaining exchange rate stability, stabilizing consumer goods prices, and taking immediate measures to address any imbalances to alleviate citizens' difficult conditions.
In this context, President Al-Zubaidi urged the executive leadership to uphold their national responsibilities during this pivotal phase of our people's struggle and emphasized the critical need to redouble efforts, foster a spirit of responsibility in task execution, show no leniency towards any irregularities, and deal firmly with any attempts to harm our people's interests and hard-won national gains.
Furthermore, the President directed both the central and local executive leadership to continue to implement the economic reform and recovery plan to address existing imbalances within certain ministries, bodies, and government institutions, improve overall performance, and enhance financial and administrative stability.
In the same regard, the meeting discussed a report submitted by the Ministry of Finance that provided a detailed explanation of the current financial situation and the measures being taken to improve revenue and rationalize expenditure, ensuring the regular payment of salaries and the provision of public services to citizens.
