President Al-Zubaidi Issues Decree Forming Preparatory Committee for Fatwa Authority of the South

President Aidrous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), issued Decree No. (32) of 2025 on Saturday regarding the formation of the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Fatwa Authority.

The decree comprises the following articles:

Article (1): Pursuant to this Decree, the Preparatory Committee for the Southern Iftaa Authority shall be formed, comprising:

First: The Supreme Preparatory Committee, which shall be constituted as follows:

· The Deputy Minister of Endowments and Guidance – Chairman

· The Deputy Minister of Justice – Member

· The Deputy Minister of Legal Affairs – Member

Second: The Executive Preparatory Committee, which shall be constituted from the following individuals:

· Mr. Yasslam Faraj Musawng—Dean of Scientific Research at the International Islamic University in Al-Fiyush and Head of the Sharia and Law Department at the University of Abyan.

· Mr. Aref Hassan Naseeb Mabrouk – Advisor to the Ministry of Education for Curriculum Affairs.

· Mr. Mokhtar Nasr Ali Qassem – Audit Department, Supreme Court.

· Mr. Khaled Abdullah Salem Al-Fadhli – Head of the Thought and Guidance Authority in the Transitional Council.

· Mr. Ramzi Shaif Ahmed Shaher – Assistant Undersecretary for the Guidance Sector at the Ministry of Endowments.

· Mr. Waseem Fadhl Mohsen Zain – Director General of Human Resources.

Article (2) and Article (3) of the Decree outlined the duties and objectives of the Committee, respectively, while Article (4) of the Decree stipulates that it shall enter into force from the date of its issuance and publication in the Official Gazette.
