The Senior Executive Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting today, Saturday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), in the presence of his deputy, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, a member of the PLC.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi reviewed the latest political, military, and security developments in all the governorates of the South amid the current circumstances, as well as the outcomes of the meeting held yesterday evening with the command of the Joint Forces of the Arab Coalition, and highlighted the resulting understandings aimed at enhancing security and stability in the liberated governorates, combating terrorism, and securing navigation routes and safeguarding maritime security.
The President also touched on the situation in the Hadhramout and Al-Mahra Valleys, praising the efforts being made by the Southern Armed Forces and the local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the STC, in coordination with local authorities, to normalize the conditions, maintain public tranquility, and confront any attempts to undermine security and stability.
The meeting discussed the widespread peaceful popular sit-ins taking place in the governorates of the South demanding the declaration of the State of South Arabia. President Al-Zubaidi expressed his pride and honor at the large public turnout and notable enthusiasm across the various governorates, affirming that the Transitional Council is steadfastly progressing in its political project, which is now close to realization.
President Al-Zubaidi emphasized that the current stage represents a pivotal juncture in the history of the South, requiring the consolidation of concerted efforts, teamwork spirit, and the enhancement of institutional performance to contribute to improving public service and alleviating the suffering of citizens.
Following that, the meeting was briefed by the deputy president of the STC, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Muharrami, on the economic situation, particularly regarding the domestic gas crisis, and the measures taken to regulate the market and organize the distribution process to ensure the stability of supplies and their delivery to all citizens without exception, in addition to the steps being implemented to prevent any future crises.
Furthermore, the meeting listened to a report presented by the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Wali, regarding the completion of employment files, financial settlements, and allowances; mechanisms to expedite the process of converting contract-based employees into permanent staff members; and addressing job imbalances. In this regard, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the need for relevant bodies and governorates to adhere to submitting their urgent requirement for jobs needed within the specified timelines.
At the end of the meeting, ministers, deputy ministers, and governors of the governorates delivered briefings on the executed performance levels and the efforts made to normalize the situation and improve public services, and appropriate measures and decisions were taken.
