President Al-Zubaidi Receives Phone Call from Lt Gen Tariq Saleh

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received a phone call today, Thursday, from his brother Lt. Gen. Tariq Saleh, head of the Political Bureau of the National Resistance and Vice-Chairman of the PLC.

During the call, the two sides discussed coordinating joint efforts and enhancing cooperation between various forces in confronting terrorist groups, foremost among them the Houthi militia and Al-Qaeda. They reiterated the importance of maintaining security and stability in the liberated areas and activating state institutions.

The two sides affirmed that achieving stability in the South represents a true starting point for liberating what is remaining of the North and eliminating the threat of the terrorist Houthi militia. They asserted that the battle is one, and so are the threats and risks, and that coordination and joint cooperation form the foundation of the current and upcoming phase, and highlighted that military and political capabilities will stand united with all sincere national forces until the desired goals are achieved—to recover the land, purify it from the filth of the Imamate rule, and reach Sana’a, and to counter whatever threatens our religion, Arab identity, and national security.

President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and Lt. Gen. Tariq Saleh also underscored the status and role of the South in the national battle, in which the Arab coalition supports our people to liberate the North and restore the capital Sana’a, which has been seized by the Iranian proxies, and reaffirmed the keenness to avoid side battles and to advance work toward shared goals.

The two sides concluded the call by agreeing on continued communication and coordination during the upcoming phase.
