President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Expanded Meeting with STC Senior Leadership

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired an expanded meeting today, Tuesday, which included members of the STC Presidium, heads of the General Secretariat bodies, and chairs of the National Assembly committees and the Council of Advisors.

President Al-Zubaidi began the meeting by congratulating the people of the South on the victories achieved by the Southern Armed Forces in completing the liberation of Hadramout Valley and Al-Mahra. In this context, the President paid tribute and prayed for the pure souls of the blessed martyrs who died bravely defending freedom, dignity, and sovereignty, and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded.

President Al-Zubaidi stated that the South today stands before a fateful and existential stage imposed by the equations of the political and military reality, noting that the people of the South have made immense sacrifices to reach this decisive moment.

His Excellency clarified that the STC has shouldered the responsibility of managing this sensitive stage efficiently and competently, in accordance with the popular mandate granted to it, and called on all segments of Southern society to stand by the Council to enhance Southern cohesiveness and strengthen the internal front to preserve the achievements made.

President Al-Zubaidi emphasised that the coming phase will be one of intensive work to build the institutions of the coming State of South Arabia on modern foundations that ensure efficiency, transparency, and community participation.

The President outlined that the coming State of South Arabia will be a just state, based on the principle of national partnership, that embraces all the people of the South without exception and will work to promote security and stability and foster positive coexistence with neighbouring countries, and will become a proactive part of the regional system and a safety valve in its surroundings.

In his speech, President Al-Zubaidi highly lauded the unwavering support provided by the brothers in the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the political, military, and humanitarian efforts that have contributed to establishing security and stability, and highlighted their steadfast commitment to respecting the will of the region's peoples and their future choices.

President Al-Zubaidi reiterated that this support will forever remain etched in the memory of the people of the South as a strategic partnership based on a common destiny and expressed his aspiration for further cooperation and coordination that serves regional security, enhances opportunities for peace and stability, and supports efforts to build the coming State of South Arabia on solid and strong foundations.
