President Al-Zubaidi Lays Wreath at South Arabia Martyrs' Memorial Marking 58th National Independence Day
His Excellency President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), laid a wreath on Sunday morning at the Martyrs of the South Arabia memorial in the Al-Tawahi district of the capital, Aden, to mark the 58th anniversary of the National Independence Day, 30 November.
Following the wreath-laying ceremony, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the STC Presidium, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaher; Major General Ali Ahmed Al-Beeshi, Commander of the Southern Land Forces; and Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, Head of Joint Operations, the President observed a moment of silence for the souls of the blessed martyrs of South Arabia, during which Al-Fatiha was recited in tribute of their heroic sacrifices in defence of the land and people of South Arabia, praying to Allah, the Almighty, to bestow upon them His vast mercy and forgiveness and grant them a place in His Paradise.
